WATER DAMAGE

What is Water Damage?
Water damage describes various possible losses caused by water intruding where it will enable attack of a material or system by destructive processes such as rotting of wood, mold growth, bacteria growth, rusting of steel, swelling of composite woods, de-laminating of materials such as plywood, etc.

The damage may be imperceptibly slow and minor such as water spots that could eventually mark a surface, or it may be instantaneous and catastrophic such as burst pipes and flooding. However, as fast it occurs, water damage is a major contributing factor to having significant losses within your property.

Where does it orginate from?
Water damage can originate from different sources such as a broken dishwasher hose, a washing machine overflow, dishwasher leakage, broken/leaking pipes, floodwaters, groundwater seepage, building envelope failures (leaking roof, windows, doors, siding, etc.), and clogged toilets.
Water damage restoration sets measurements and protocols to help remediate the damages and affected areas. The damaged areas are inspected with professional water equipment such as thermal imaging, moisture meters, and humidity readers in order to detect and localize the source to minimize damages. By determining, extracting, removing, and cleaning the affected areas, are all the basic steps of the water mitigation process. After the water has been extracted and the surface cleaned the next step is to dry structures inside and significantly reduce humidity levels in addition to sanitizing all affected areas. Equipment used for water damages includes air movers, Inject dry, air scrubbers, and dehumidifiers. The goal of the drying process is to stabilize, balance moisture and humidity levels within the structures. It is imperative to have your dry outdone promptly and by professionals like us.
